that, alone, merits the Guardian Award - great stuff, robin.
Posted by zed at January 4, 2004 01:51 PMAh, here it is. I knew I'd read something funny this morning.
Posted by Karen at January 5, 2004 04:37 PMMuch as I love BdJ - and I do, oh yes I do - this really is veh veh droll, and as a pastiche, deliciously spot on.
I'd link, but...you know...dead and all that...
Posted by mike at January 5, 2004 04:48 PMOooh!
A-list bloggers wall to wall. And one of them dead as well!
Too kind, all of you.
Posted by robin at January 5, 2004 04:54 PMThat's interesting. Thanks Mike.
Posted by robin at January 27, 2004 04:00 PMheh! That was brilliant. Especially the overly grammatical "so I knew in for what I was."
Posted by lux at January 28, 2004 12:01 AMHello Lux, and thank you. This post is getting something of a life beyond the grave at the moment. Which is nice. This and 'Myths about Men' nearly never saw the light of day at all as I was more nervous about posting them than almost any others. They are also the ones that got noticed. (Note to self: go figure.) And that sentence you mention was the last to go in and the one about which I was least convinced, thinking it too obscure. So. Never underestimate your readers seems to be the message all round.
