Sounds like quite a distaster waiting for you, and plenty of people waiting to point the finger at somebody (if I were you, I'd blame encouragement of the teacher- they usually have thick skins anyways). At the very least, we all can benefit from one thing out of it at least- a very entertaining blog read. One thing that seems wrong/barbaric about the Jerry Springer style of delivery/communication is that, the person with something to say is saying it in front of everyone else, so they have the support/judgement of the crowd in case they don't like the receipient's reaction (like getting a second opinion before a first). In the long run, this could be a great thing actually... just be prepared if your son gets up there and starts sayin that his dad likes to drink a lot....
I saw Jerry Springer being interviewed, and he made a very good case for his show actually- people complain that it's degrading society and that it's not about anything important- but compared to what, a football game score instead? They are real people, with real emotions and real things they want to say- too easily labeled freaks, so he gives them their chance to say it.

I don't think it's going to happen - lack of victims - sorry volunteers. Middle class reticence seems to have kicked in.
