Hmmmm... so I should have watched the Gene Simmons thing then?

Maybe that one, Pete. I've since read that his music classes are dull. That could well be the case. There weren't any in the one I saw. I happened to love this one programme because it dealt so directly with all the problems of 'teaching' rock n roll attitude. You, of course, need no such lessons.

Whatever.

Didn't watch it, kinda wish I had now. Good to see your absence hasn't dulled your writing, rapier-esque with a hint of Wordsworth as usual.

Hello Gordon. LOL. I will remember that for a long time.

You too have been missed.

I saw that 1st. series too. Simmons was good and showed touching pleasure in the achievements of those kids at their finale.
2nd. series started this week.
Placed in a Comprehensive in Lowestoft.
You couldn't make it up. It's already a brilliant pastiche of all that's wrong in teaching disaffected yoofs. Simmons is already making progress in wk 1.

Hello Luke.

Well done for getting this far down the page. Two longish posts in a row is not my usual style.

I'm not sure I could take any more thatn one episode, but you have intrigued me there. I'll get the cocoa on and try to stay awake next week.
