Hello Gordon.
Very glad we were too. Tricky thing, this pets business.
Posted by robin at September 21, 2008 05:32 PMOur two year old cat is still called 'the kitten'. Quite what will happen when her young niece arrives to take our cat complement to three in a few weeks' time is anyone's guess. For good measure we have a dog and a house rabbit as well.
And still several yards of polyfillered skirting board.
Glad to hear that Lizzie survived her excellent adventure.
Posted by Deirdre at September 22, 2008 03:24 PMHello Deirdre!!
Skirting board? Did you see that programme about the 'naughty' rabbit eating that house? That was probably the last TV programme I saw.
Posted by robin at September 22, 2008 06:01 PMyou are "YES" and i claim my £10
Posted by Saltation at September 22, 2008 09:34 PMOnly 10 Sal?
In the post.
Been meaning to comment over at ours, but haven't managed to get the right energy at the right time recently.
Posted by robin at September 22, 2008 11:00 PMI missed that programme! I wonder if it's available anywhere... Our rabbit has only managed to chew through one set of Christmas lights a couple of years ago. Perhaps it got a small shock and learnt its lesson, but it has been very house friendly since then. Or perhaps the other animals cramp his style.
My son has decided the new kitten is probably to be called Nyx, after the Greek Goddess of the night. Good name, I think, although the local small creatures might not be so impressed!
Take care.
Posted by Deirdre at September 23, 2008 12:43 PMThank god the kids found her - what on earth would Jake blog about if she was never found?
Oh, and "Yes". You did ask for that.
Posted by zed at September 24, 2008 09:03 AMYes, indeed Zed. If she had gone forever then we would have been one very miserable house.
Deirdre: I think it was called "Britain's Naughtiest Pets" or something very similar. Do you have any kind of cable 'on demand' service? Might be on there, desperately trawling for viewers. It was a very bizarre household. All the plaster was off the walls and everything was chewed up to rabbit high.
Posted by robin at September 24, 2008 02:39 PMoh BLESS! trust she was lavished with affection as no cat has been lavished before, treated to a fatted mouse and general jublilation on her return
Posted by rivergirlie at September 26, 2008 09:10 PMOh I do like that, Rivergirlie. The killing of the fatted mouse! Yum. Actually she seems to prefer moths at the moiment.
Anyway, so far she is still just the same psycho scratch machine she always was.
Posted by robin at September 26, 2008 09:23 PMOh, so glad you found the little mite. Pets can be such a (damn nuisance) worry, sometimes. My cat disappeared for days, once, and it was a nightmare, her being so timid and not likely to go far away. Never found out what happened but she did return and has never gone again, thank goodness!!
Scribble
Hello Scribble. And welcome.
I have been looking at your blog and I have finally (with that last post) worked out that you are a laydee! Couldn't find anything that was definitive in the About Me stuff. It's funny, reading and not knowing for sure.
I am a big hairy man (well, stout more like), who doesn't have a beard and is going a bit thin on top. Just to fill out the mental picture for you.
Posted by robin at October 3, 2008 09:32 AMYes Robin, but she is YOUR psycho scratch machine, and you wouldn't have her any other way!
:)
